「お別れ会」でアフリカ土産をプレゼントをいただいたお礼に，日本グッズをプレゼントしているところです。家に飾っていた“百忍大和”の掛け軸を教頭にプレゼントしました。意味を問われて，「If you have hundred patience, it will be peaceful.」と説明し，達磨祖師についても「He had been sitting a rock for long long time, and he had been patient with pain of foot. At last his legs and his arms disappeared. So he is a symbol of patince.」と解説したのですが，きょとんとしていました。
